'Nowruz-etaan Piruz' - 'Sale now Mobarak'

CAIS Persian students were invited to a celebratory viewing of a Nowruz table.
Thursday, March 26, 2015

CAIS Persian and Iranian Studies students had the opportunity to learn about the traditional Persian setting and its place in the ancient customs and festivals of Iran.

The table setting or Haft Seen for Nowruz is a feature of the celebrations that signifies 'new life'.

The Haft Seen or the seven objects beginning with the letter ‘S’, is a traditional ritual of Nowruz. Each object has a special significance and importance for the New Year.

CAIS staff would like to offer their best wishes for New Year to all members of the ANU and Canberra Persian community.
